CBCHS, Stakeholders Strategize To Increase Learners With Disabilities In Schools

Fozao Vaniela Open Discussion With Participants Increasing the enrollment of learners with disabilities in schools and how it can be achieved were top on the agenda at a brief orientation meeting organized by the Communuity Based Rehabilitation (CBR) center of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS).  Fozao Vaniela CBC Staff/ Student Journalists Students of the Department of Communication and Development Studies (CADS) of the University of Bamenda (UBa) have expressed their satisfaction after undergoing a one month internship program at the Cameroon Baptist Convention Radio, CBC Radio. Fozao Vaniela Source: World breastfeeding week.org Khinghang Berenice, a nutritionist and head of Nutrition Improvement Program at Nkwen Baptist Hospital in Bamenda say, nursing mothers must take action on the best suckling practices in other to have healthy children. She made the call Tuesday August 2,2022 which was day two of  this year's World Breastfeeding Week to wrap up on the 7 of August with the theme: "Step up for breastfeeding ,educate and support,". The nutritionist said early initiation is the best practice as far as breastfeeding is concerned, " This means initiating breastfeeding within an hour after putting to birth. This should be followed by exclusive breastfeeding, a process to last for six months followed by complementary feeding.  Fozao Vaniela The Center for Clinical Pastoral Education and Social Services (CECPES)  has graduated her 10th batch of social workers, Tuesday August 2,2022. 10th Batch of Graduating Students During the graduation rituals that took place at the Baptist Center in Nkwen Bamenda, the 38  graduates promised to reach out to those in need and help solve their problems, "As a community agent thanks to the knowledge from (CECPES), I intend to reach out to distress persons in the community and provide psychosocial support, counseling and other forms of Humanitarian action," Abass Sahabu, one of the graduates said. World Hepatitis Day: Population Invited To Get Vaccinated

 Fozao Vaniela  The population of Bamenda and the North West Region as a whole have been advised to get vaccinated against Hepatitis in order to guard against the disease. Vaccination Campaign The call came from Mr. Simon Njoya, a Microbiologist at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda during activities to commemorate the 2022 edition of World Hepatitis Day, July 28 2022 with the theme: Bringing Hepatitis Care Closer To Everyone. "All those who have been recently screened are advised to come back and get vaccinated in order to stay safe," Mr Njoya said. Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver which has a wide range of causes. It can be caused by bacteria or fungi. The non- infectious hepatitis can be caused by alcohol and  drug abuse, antibiotics, traditional medicine and toxins.  Findings have revealed that Hepatitis B and C are the leading causes of chronic hepatitis and it can lead to liver disease.
