CECPES Graduates 10th Batch Of Social Workers

The Center for Clinical Pastoral Education and Social Services (CECPES)  has graduated her 10th batch of social workers, Tuesday August 2,2022.

During the graduation rituals that took place at the Baptist Center in Nkwen Bamenda, the 38  graduates promised to reach out to those in need and help solve their problems,

"As a community agent thanks to the knowledge from (CECPES), I intend to reach out to distress persons in the community and provide psychosocial support, counseling and other forms of Humanitarian action," Abass Sahabu, one of the graduates said.

Tanjong Mirian who was one of the 38 students armed with the very much needed skills to serve the communities celebrated the quality of the training she acquired from (CECPES),

"The training was enriching and served as an eye opener for me.A lot of persons have potentials they are unaware of. The coaching helped us to know whom we are and better fight our battles, Tanjong explained.

Rev. Mbuh Julius is the Director of CECPES. He summarizes the aim of the training in the following words:

"The objective of this training is to meet the needs of people in communities who are going through various challenges, to create self awareness, enable students help themselves in order to be able to help others through professional competence."

He furthered that, " professional reflection is not also left out. When personal formation and professional competence are present, meeting the needs of persons in desperate situation would be much easier."

A basket-full of congratulation messages from the Director of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services was emptied on the Director of CECPES and the graduating community workers for upholding the image of the institution.

As a way to prove that they will deliver when they finally get in to the communities, they took an oath promising to work according to the ethics of the profession while flying high the flag of the institution.
