Dr Jacqueline Fonkwo

"The Nang App will henceforth enable youths have access to healthier sexual and reproductive health education at the comfort of their mobile phones. They will also be exposed to information that is accurate for their health and information that is culturally sensitive. The app will give them the opportunity to interact with health care providers virtually and assist in locating a pharmacy or health facility where they live," Dr. Fonkwo indicated.

She further explained that, " there is a lot of misinformation and lack of information baking young people. After working in the North West Region for a duration of three years, I noticed the need for this was really high. Using a digital space is one of the finest places we can reach out to a vast number of youths in a very effective way. "

She recommended that those who would be able to have access to the app should should share the information with their peers whom because of one reason or the order may not be able to gain access to NANG.

Registration process

Dr.Fonkwo also invited parents to allow their kids use their handsets in a situation where they young persons don't have  so that they too can benefit from the services.

Youth 2 Youth Cameroon has been been in the country for more than two years now.  Their focus is the  North West Region where they have been advocating for Adolescent and Youth Health Care.

Coming with a new project dubbed NANG: "the telehealth solution to youth's sexual and reproductive health crisis in Cameroon" it is hoped that it will go a long way to foster sexual and reproductive health education in the region.
